Terms and Conditions for online payment

The Organisation shall hereafter at all times refer to “Stenton Hall Junior Common Room”. The JCR shall be used also to refer to “Stenton Hall Junior Common Room”. The Hall shall hereafter refer to “Stenton Hall” at the “University of Reading”. The University shall hereafter refer to the “University of Reading”. The Website shall hereafter refer to www.stentonjcr.co.uk and all relevant subdomains.

  1. Each application is subject to approval by the Treasurer.
  2. The organisation reserves the right to reject an application if the Treasurer has reason to believe that details on the application are false or incorrect or does not comply with any other part of these terms and conditions.
  3. JCR fees are non-refundable except in the case where the member is permanently leaving the hall for the remainder of the academic year as defined in the University Calendar.
  4. A successful application shall invoke the rights as described in the Constitution and the applicant shall be deemed a Member of the JCR.
  5. Applications which are not successful shall receive a full refund.
  6. An unsuccessful application shall result in no rights granted by the organisation and refund of the fee.
  7. An application must be accompanied with a fee for it to be considered and shall be returned otherwise.
  8. Applications made before 18:00 shall be processed for the following day.
  9. The fee structure applicable is detailed on the website or may be obtained from the Treasurer at written request at any time.
  10. JCR Fees must be paid in full and will not be accepted in parts.
  11. Attached Membership is not available to applicants that are living in Hall.
  12. Only applicants not appearing on the Hall list will be eligible for Attached Membership providing accepting the membership is constitutional.
  13. Attached Members are subject to additional fees if they receive a place in hall during the current academic year for which they are an Attached Member. This amount shall be determined by the remainder of academic year that the member could be resident in the hall.
  14. The Organisation reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without notice.
